There are probably some people in (or outside of) your company with whom you communicate more than with others, be it via Skype, e-mail or another channel. But if you need to look up their contact information every time you need them, communicating becomes a bit of a pain. Of course, you could just save them as favourites, but what if I told you there’s a faster way to contact your favourite recipients?
Have you ever noticed the pair of people on the right side of your taskbar (only in Windows 10)? That’s the Microsoft People icon. This application lets you pin anyone to your taskbar. Wondering how you can do this? It’s simple:
- Click the People icon on the right side of your taskbar.
- A list of suggestions will pop up. The people you’re looking for may already be in this list, but you can also look for people by clicking ‘Find and pin contacts’. Click the person you’d like to pin and they’ll appear to the left of the icon in your taskbar.
Of course, you can also remove them from your taskbar. This is how it’s done:
- Right-click the icon of the person you’d like to remove, then click ‘Unpin from taskbar’.
- You can also remove the People icon from your taskbar. To do this, right-click the taskbar and click Settings. Go to People and look for ‘Show contacts on the taskbar’. Turn this option off and the icon will disappear.
