Microsoft Teams is a well-integrated part of many modern work environments – and with the right keyboard shortcuts, you can use the tool even more efficiently. In this blog post, I’ll share my 7 favourite shortcuts.

During meetings

The 3 most important buttons during any meeting are the microphone, camera and screen share buttons But you can also turn these features on and off with the following shortcuts:

  • Camera: Ctrl + Shift + O
  • Microphone: Ctrl + Shift + M
  • Screen sharing: Ctrl + Shift + E

In Teams

When working in Teams, you can use shortcuts to quickly start a new chat conversation, edit your last message and even add a file to the chat:

  • Start a new chat: Ctrl + N
  • Edit your last message: Up arrow
  • Add a file to the chat: Ctr + O

Looking for more Teams shortcuts?

If you can’t get enough of using shortcuts, use Ctrl + E and type /. Several possible actions will pop up, one of which is /keys. This will pull up a complete list of shortcuts in Teams.
