Imagine you’ve created a document that needs to be approved by 5 people. If you’re like most people, you’d probably contact these colleagues through e-mail or Teams to request their approval.

The downside of this method is that if one person doesn’t respond until 3 weeks later, you’ll have spent 3 weeks needlessly keeping this task in the back of your head, on top of everything else you’re working on.

Fortunately, Microsoft has come up with a helpful solution: the Approvals app.

You can add it to your Teams apps and pin it to request all future approvals through it. After you’ve installed the app, you can open it and view all your sent and received approval requests.

This is a great advantage because you no longer need to keep track of your e-mails or Teams messages; when you send a request, everyone involved immediately gets a Teams notification, and when they respond, you receive a Teams notification in turn. But what if they don’t react? In such cases, the ‘Follow Up’ button sends out a reminder to everyone. But what if they don’t react? You can also request approvals directly in a channel and/or chat.

Another way to make your daily tasks a little more manageable!
